Bell's 2000 Millennium Decanter 8 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky

This is an 8 year old blended Scotch whisky from Bell's, presented in a glass decanter released to commemorate the new millennium. The decanter looks back to 1494 and the early days of Scotch whisky, "Uisge beatha", the Water of Life. The blend contains up to 40 malt and grain whiskies matured in oak, built around the malty core of Blair Athol. That distillery stands in Pitlochry, Perthshire, and was acquired and re-opened by Arthur Bell & Sons in 1933. The aroma is sweet, with honey, vanilla and light wood. The palate is sweet and approachable, with wood, honey, peaches and vanilla.
