Type
Blended Whisky
Bell's Old Scotch Whisky Extra Special is a blended Scotch from the 1980s, bottled before the name changed to Bell's Original. Blair Athol is its core malt, with contributions from Dufftown, Inchgower and Pittyvaich. On the nose it is briney and earthy, with coastal salinity, damp forest floor, toasted cereal, biscuit and porridge, plus lemon peel, dried apple and a little nutmeg. The palate is grassy and juicy, with fresh-cut hay, orchard fruit, shortbread and lemon marmalade over a malty backbone. The finish is oily and peppery, with a dry, spicy tail.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
