Ben Holladay Soft Red Wheat is a wheated, bottled-in-bond bourbon from Holladay Distillery in Weston, Missouri, in a 750ml bottle at 50% ABV. The mashbill is 73% corn, 15% soft red winter wheat and 12% malted barley.
It was matured for at least six years in Missouri white oak barrels, in iron-clad rickhouses on site. Being bottled-in-bond, it is the product of a single distiller in a single distilling season.
The nose brings toffee, strawberry and raspberry, with vanilla cake and a soft floral note. The palate is chewy, with red fruit, baked apple and cinnamon, and the finish carries milk chocolate, buttercream and baking spices.
