This Ben Nevis was distilled in 2011 and matured for 14 years, then finished in a single hogshead that had held Madeira wine. Alistair Walker bottled it for his Infrequent Flyers Collection at natural cask strength, without chill filtration or artificial colouring. Ben Nevis sits at the foot of Britain's highest mountain, near Fort William, and is known for a robust, oily and characterful spirit. The Madeira finish brings dried fruit and a gentle tang to that big, idiosyncratic style.
