This is a single cask Ben Nevis, distilled on 22 May 1997 and bottled in the autumn of 2023 at 26 years old. It matured in a bourbon hogshead and belongs to the Claxton's Warehouse No. 1 series, with 222 bottles filled.
The nose is finely sweet and oily, with a touch of chewing gum and barley sugar, reminiscent of a malting floor. The palate combines sweet oak, barley and soft fruit, with a texture that is not too oily. The finish is long, starting with oak before gentle notes of barley and fruit appear.
