A single cask Ben Nevis from Hidden Spirits, distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2019 after 21 years in a sherry butt. It is a special edition made for Stefano Cremaschi's 40th birthday, and the cask gave 279 bottles at 54.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is layered rather than heavy, with fruity sweetness, vanilla and caramel, and the alcohol is well integrated. The palate is soft and creamy with vanilla, caramel and nuts. The finish brings dark chocolate and sweet spices.
