This is a 12 year old Ben Nevis bottled by North Star Spirits as part of its Cask Series #025. The whisky was distilled in November 2012 and matured in an Oloroso sherry hogshead before bottling in February 2025. Only 285 bottles were filled.
The nose pairs rich butterscotch with warm, yeasty notes of freshly baked bread. The palate is spicy and full, with intense aniseed sweets and liquorice alongside the natural depth of the spirit. The finish is long, warming and round, with deep sherry character, dark fruit and a hint of oak.
