Ben Nevis – 2012 Reserve Casks Parcel No. 10 (70cl, 48%)

This is a Highland single malt from Ben Nevis, distilled in 2012 and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It forms Parcel No. 10 of the Reserve Casks series from The Single Malts of Scotland, the range of Elixir Distillers. It is bottled without colouring and without chill-filtration. The nose offers ripe fruit, apple, citrus, honey, malt and wax. The palate is oily and full-bodied, with malt, vanilla, spice and fresh fruit. The finish runs medium to long, with oak and a spicy dryness.
