A Highland single malt from Ben Nevis, distilled in 2014 and bottled by Douglas Laing for the autumn outturn of their Provenance series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46%, without colouring or chill filtration.
The whisky was matured in a single refill hogshead, which yielded 450 bottles.
The official notes describe a creamy, buttery nose that opens to spices and breakfast cereal. The palate is velvety and rich, with barley among dark fruit and ginger spice. The finish turns toffee-like, with vanilla, honey and sugar around the spices.
