This six-year-old Ben Nevis is a heavily peated Highland single malt, distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2025 at 48%. The Single Malts of Scotland combined just four casks, first-fill bourbon barrels and second-fill sherry butts, into a small batch. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The profile joins strong smoke with malty sweetness, caramel, vanilla and dried fruit, with mineral spice, gentle sherry sweetness and spicy oak giving it structure. The nose shows pronounced malt, caramel, vanilla and dried fruit, with fine mineral and spicy touches. On the palate come bold smoke, intense malt and fruit, spicy oak and soft sherry sweetness. The medium to long finish stays malty and spicy, with a light bitterness of coffee and dark chocolate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
