A 25 year old Ben Nevis, bottled by Cadenhead's as a single cask for the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2024. It was distilled in 1999, matured in a bourbon hogshead and bottled in May 2024 at 49.3% ABV, in an outturn of 246 bottles. It is bottled without added colouring and without chill-filtration.
The nose is led by intense honey and honeycomb, with mango, pineapple, kiwi and other tropical fruit, and light touches of gorse and heather. The palate is oily and creamy, with golden syrup, digestive biscuits, lemon, millionaire's shortbread and vanilla cream. The finish is long, with vanilla, Brazil nuts and fresh citrus, and lemon stays to the end.
