This is an 8 year old Highland single malt from Ben Nevis, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Provenance series at 48% ABV. It was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2021, with the whisky maturing in a refill hogshead. The outturn was 394 bottles, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The tasting notes begin with milk chocolate, juicy barley and a clear coconut character. The palate is thick and creamy, with home-baked pastry, a touch of cinnamon and plenty of crunchy brown sugar. The finish is long, with lingering spiced oak, bananas, peaches in syrup and vanilla.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
