Ben Nevis – Coire Leis First Fill Bourbon Casks (70cl, 46%)

Coire Leis is a Highland single malt from the Ben Nevis distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is named after a hidden mountain corrie at the foot of Britain's highest mountain. The whisky matured entirely in first fill bourbon casks. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. On the nose there are ripe pears, green apples and citrus, with vanilla, honey, a touch of coconut and a fine mineral note. The palate pairs sweet vanilla and caramel with fresh fruit, light spice and a gentle maltiness. The finish is medium in length, soft and slightly dry, with oak, spice and a subtle freshness.
