This Ben Nevis is the 100 Proof Edition #17 from Signatory Vintage. It is a Highland single malt distilled in 2019 from heavily peated spirit, matured for five years and bottled at 57.1%. It joins the oily, forceful style of the distillery with marked peat smoke and a sherry influence from the cask. The nose has peat smoke, malt, dark fruit, spice and strong oak. The palate is powerful and oily, with smoke, dried fruit, pepper, malt and wood. The finish is long and warming, with peat smoke, spice and dry oak.
