Ben Nevis Traditional Peated Malt is a Highland single malt bottled at 46% ABV after maturing in oak. It first appeared as a limited edition in 2011 and has recently been reintroduced. Peat gives it a smoky character, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose opens with sea salt and phenol, followed by sweet floral and honey notes. On the palate, gentle smoke gives way to light caramel and ginger cake, with a soft creaminess. The finish is balanced, with pear juice, liquorice, earth and peat.
