Benozzo Umbria IGT Rosso

Benozzo Umbria IGT Rosso is a red wine from Cesarini Sartori, made from Sangiovese and Merlot. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing in oak barrels that give spicy notes and added aromatic complexity. It shows an intense ruby red colour with garnet reflections with age. The bouquet is rich, with aromas of ripe red fruits, sweet spices such as vanilla, and light leather and tobacco notes from barrel ageing. On the palate it is robust but balanced, with well-present yet soft tannins integrated with typical Umbrian acidity. The finish is persistent, leaving warmth and complexity. It suits rich meat dishes, aged cheeses and savoury Umbrian dishes.
