Benriach 10 Year Old Smoky is a peated Speyside single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from peated malted barley and matured in three types of cask: ex-bourbon, toasted virgin oak and ex-rum. The peat is Highland in style, and it revives a tradition of peated Speyside whisky dating back to the 19th century.
The nose combines campfire smoke with stewed orchard fruits, vanilla bean and toasted oak. On the palate there is creamy malt sweetness, grilled pineapple, honeycomb and spiced oak, with a subtle waft of smoke. The finish is gently smoky, with citrus zest, cinnamon and charred wood.
