Benriach 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured in sherry, bourbon and port casks, which contribute fruit, spice and depth respectively. The whisky is unpeated.
The nose is ripe peach, vanilla cream and toasted almonds with a floral lift. The palate combines sherry sweetness and bourbon spice with dried apricot, orange zest and a hint of toasted oak. The finish is medium to long and warming, with stewed fruit, soft cinnamon and a touch of nutty dryness.
