Benriach The Smoky Twelve is a 12 year old single malt from Speyside, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in three types of cask: bourbon, sherry and Marsala wine.
The spirit is made from a combination of peated and unpeated malt, which gives a measured smoke.
The nose is aromatic smoke with dark honey, cocoa and baked stone fruits. The palate is creamy, with smoked vanilla, toasted almond, orange peel and spiced oak. The finish is long, with peat smoke, dark chocolate and dried cherry.
