BenRiach The Smoky Twelve is a 12 year old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from malted barley dried over peat fire, and matured in ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and virgin oak casks. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose is led by smoke, with honey and vanilla, citrus, apple and pear, and spice from cinnamon and ginger. On the palate a sweet honey note sits alongside light smoke, citrus, oak, spice and a hint of chocolate. The finish is long, with subtle smoke meeting honey and spice, a little oak and a touch of dry tobacco.
