This is a BenRiach single malt from Speyside, distilled in 1982 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at natural cask strength, 62.7%, in a 75cl bottle. The nose is powerful, with cardboard, vanilla, flour, wet rocks and a little café latte. With water it turns to pipe tobacco, molasses and soy sauce. On the palate there is peat, creamy vanilla, spices, pepper and liquorice, and it opens up once water is added. The finish is long, peppery, gingery and leathery.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
