BenRiach 22 Year Old Moscatel is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It spent 22 years in American oak casks before a finish in Moscatel wine casks, which hold a sweet, aromatic style of Portuguese fortified wine. It is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose combines apricot, honey, orange blossom and sultana with polished oak and gentle vanilla. The palate is fruity, with dried fruit, peach, honeyed malt, candied citrus, toasted nuts and warm spice. The finish is long and soft, with honey, orchard fruit and a little spice.
