This Benriach is a 27 year old single cask Speyside single malt from Morayshire, matured in a hogshead and bottled at 61.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is an independent bottling by One8Nine, and cask #7350 gave 189 bottles.
The nose has meadow flowers and lily pollen with light honey and milk chocolate, then peach skin, hazelnut, golden syrup, white tea and a little pepper. On the palate come caramelised apples and sweet pastry with cinnamon and liquorice, along with ginger, white chocolate, oak and maple syrup. The finish is long and fruity, balancing sweetness and spice.
