BenRiach Authenticus Peated 30 Years is a 30-year-old single malt from the Speyside distillery. It is the oldest addition to the peated Authenticus series, which also includes 21 and 25 year old bottlings.
Amber in colour, it is described as rich, smoky and balanced.
The nose combines ripe oak, earthy vanilla and peat smoke, with a hint of mince pie and shortbread. The palate is strongly peaty without being overwhelming, with mint chocolate, a cigar box note and something akin to rancio. The finish is long and smoky.
