BenRiach Cask Strength Batch 2 is a single malt from the BenRiach distillery in Speyside, Scotland, founded in 1898. This second batch was matured in bourbon, Oloroso sherry and virgin oak casks, and is a nod to the Speyside whisky style of the 19th century.
The nose offers orange zest and sawdust, with sugar and plum. The palate opens with the freshness of ginger root and mint, then moves to crisp peanut and aniseed. The finish is lasting, with brown sugar and raisin sweetness.
