Benriach-Glenlivet 16 Year Old 2008/2023 Manzanilla Sherry Finish (Cadenhead's) (70cl, 55.2%)

A 16 year old single malt from Benriach, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2023 by Cadenhead's at 55.2% in a 70cl bottle. It has been in a Manzanilla hogshead since September 2020, which gives it its Manzanilla sherry finish. The character is reminiscent of an old-fashioned cocktail, with orange essence, stem ginger and brandy butter. The nose offers hazelnut chocolate, marzipan and battenberg cake. On the palate come old fashioned, stem ginger and orange, and the finish moves to brandy butter, blood orange and dried mango.
