Benriach – Smoky Quarter Cask (1L)

Benriach Smoky Quarter Cask is a Speyside single malt in a 1 litre bottle, made from a combination of unpeated and peated distillate. It is bottled non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. The whisky is first matured in ex-bourbon barrels, then given a second maturation in quarter casks. Their smaller size allows more contact between wood and spirit. The peat comes from Highland peat-smoked malted barley, a style Benriach has used since the early 1970s. The nose has wood smoke, pear and freshly baked malt. The palate brings smoked nectarine, peppery malt and creamy vanilla, ending with gentle smoke and nutty oak.
