BenRiach The Sixteen is a 16-year-old Speyside single malt, matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, with no added colouring and chill-filtered.
The nose is fruity and sweet with a hint of sherry, showing ripe apples, pears and oranges with light spice. On the palate honey and vanilla sweetness meets dried fruit such as raisins and dates, with cinnamon, nutmeg and a light touch of oak. The finish is long, with a little oak and dryness while the sweet notes slowly fade.
