BenRiach – The Smoky 10

BenRiach The Smoky 10 is a Speyside single malt made from a blend of unpeated and peated spirit. The peated part uses barley smoked over Highland peat, an old-style method the distillery returned to in the early 1970s. It is matured for at least ten years in three kinds of wood: bourbon barrels, Jamaican rum casks and toasted virgin oak. The nose brings ripe orchard fruit syrup, a smoked honey glaze and oak spice. On the palate come smoked applewood, honey maple and spiced pear, finishing with lingering fruit and smoked oak.
