Benriach – The Smoky Ten (46%)

Benriach The Smoky Ten is a single malt from the distillery's core range, launched in 2020 and bottled at 46%. It shows the distillery's skill with peated malt. Master blender Dr Rachel Barrie and her team drew on whisky matured in bourbon barrels, toasted new oak casks and Jamaican rum casks. Ripe fruit and creamy spice sit alongside the smoke at its centre. The nose brings toasted coconut, aromatic smoke and a hint of mirabelle plum. On the palate come cinnamon, ginger and dry smoke, followed by maple syrup and peach. The finish carries fresh vanilla, salted butter and roasted barley.
