The Smoky Twelve is a BenRiach single malt matured in three types of cask: bourbon, sherry and Marsala. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The combination brings together ripe fruit, malt, oak and layers of smoke, with a creamy texture and a warming oak spice.
On the nose there is flamed orange peel, fresh chocolate brownies, raisins and walnuts. The palate is rounded and sweet from the Marsala casks, set against woody smoke and a hint of clove. The finish brings almond, orange again, peppercorn and hickory.
