BenRiach The Twelve is a Scottish single malt from Speyside, matured for 12 years in bourbon and sherry casks. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring, in a 70cl bottle, and has a golden colour.
The nose is fresh fruit, pears and apples, with cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is balanced and fruity, with vanilla, honey and a slightly nutty note, the sweetness of the sherry casks met by the light spice of the bourbon casks. The finish is long and dry, with a touch of smoke and oak.
