A 21 year old Speyside single malt from Benriach, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit is a mix of unpeated and lightly peated malt, reflecting the distillery's dual style.
It was matured in four types of cask: ex-bourbon, sherry, virgin oak and red wine.
The nose is deep and fragrant, with honeyed orchard fruit, ripe apricot, vanilla cream, oak spice and gentle smoke, plus a touch of cocoa and citrus peel. The palate offers caramelised pear, dark honey and toasted almond, then raisin, date and a little cinnamon. The finish is long, with chocolate, dried fruit and light smoke.
