This is a 2008 Benrinnes single malt from Malts of Scotland, bottled as MoS23028 at 56.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Benrinnes sits in the centre of Speyside, on the northern slope of the mountain of the same name, at a height of 250 metres. It was founded in 1835 as Lyne of Ruthrie. Its wash still has an unusual arrangement: the low wines are divided, run first through spirit still No. 2 and then No. 1, and the resulting spirit is distilled once more, a particular form of triple distillation. The water comes from the Scurran and Rowentree Burns.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
