A single malt from Benrinnes in Speyside, distilled in 2009 and bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd at 54.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery lies at 250 metres on the northern slope of Ben Rinnes and was founded in 1835 as Lyne of Ruthrie. Its washstill produces low wines that are split: first into spirit still No. 2, then No. 1, and that distillate is run through a further distillation, a particular form of triple distillation. The water comes from the Scurran and Rowentree burns.
