Benrinnes 2013/2025 11 Year Old Bourbon Barrels - Murray McDavid (70cl, 55.8%)

This Benrinnes is a Speyside single malt from Murray McDavid's Benchmark series, vatted from four casks. It was distilled in 2013 and fully matured in bourbon hogsheads, then finished in first-fill bourbon barrels. It was bottled in 2025 after eleven years at a cask strength of 55.8%, in 70cl. The edition is 1,007 bottles, in natural colour and not chill-filtered. The nose is ripe pineapple and banana with creamy malt and a hint of vanilla. The palate is full and creamy, with fruit, caramel sweetness and mixed nuts. The finish is long, with tropical fruit, citrus and lemon oil.
