This is a 9 year old Benrinnes single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2026 by Murray McDavid as part of its Cask Partnership series. It is bottled at 55.2% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
The whisky was finished in casks from the Koval distillery in Chicago, which previously held bourbon, adding vanilla, wood and spice.
The nose brings vanilla, honey and caramelised sugar, with ripe apple, pear and fine wood. The palate is full, with toffee, creamy caramel and sweet oak, plus cinnamon and black pepper. The finish is long and soft, with vanilla cream, toasted wood and lingering sweetness.
