A Speyside single malt from Benrinnes, bottled by Murray McDavid in its Cask Craft Collection at 44.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was finished in tawny port barriques that previously held wines from Château de Meyre, and no colour is added.
The nose has apple, pear and ripe peach with strawberries and a floral freshness. The palate is soft and full, with blackberries, dark chocolate, red fruit, walnuts and spice from the wood.
The finish is long and creamy, with bitter chocolate, roasted nuts and gentle oak spice.
