This is a ten-year-old Speyside single malt from Benromach, a family-owned distillery that uses handmade methods throughout. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured in a mix of first-fill bourbon and sherry casks. The nose brings toffee, green apple and malt, and the palate ripe fruit, creamy chocolate, toasted oak and a soft hint of peat smoke. The finish is smooth, warm and gently smoky.
