This is a small batch Islay single malt selected by Berry Bros. & Rudd, from an Islay distillery that is not named. It is bottled at 45.3% in a 70cl bottle, is non-chill-filtered and has colour added.
It matured in traditional whisky casks, and the selection was overseen by Spirits Curator Felix Dear.
The nose shows a fine veil of peat smoke with green apple and ripe pear. On the palate, earthy smoke meets sweet honeydew melon and strong barley and malt notes. The finish is long and balanced, with gentle peat smoke, toffee and a light maritime spiciness.
