Bertrand Uberach Biersky 3 Year Old (50cl, 44%)

Bertrand Uberach Biersky is a three-year-old French spirit that blends beer with malt brandy. It is bottled at 44% ABV in a 50cl bottle. The nose opens with cooked apples, candied grapefruit and orange marmalade, then moves to pastry, biscuit and white flowers. A second nose adds cocoa. The palate is sweeter than most whiskies and recalls rum or bourbon. Liquorice and fruit brandy notes of old plum and calvados give way to caramel and candied orange. The finish is long, with a pleasant bitterness balanced between vanilla and wood.
