Bespoken Spirits Rye Whiskey Green Label (37.5cl, 50%)

This is a rye whiskey from Bespoken Spirits, bottled at 50% ABV in a 37.5cl half bottle. The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malt. It starts with young rye whiskies, at least three months old, bought in as barrels from distillers around the United States. Bespoken then combines them with staves that were seasoned for at least two years and specially treated, in a spirit refiner that matures the whiskey in days rather than years. The nose has caramel, vanilla and spice, with hints of caraway, celery and mild smoke. The palate shows charred American oak and a rounded sweetness, leading to a peppery finish.
