This Caol Ila is an Islay single malt bottled by Best Dram, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2026. It spent 12 years in a first fill Moscatel sherry hogshead, which pairs the maritime smokiness of Islay with a gentle sweetness. It is bottled at 56.8% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose offers maritime peat smoke, honey and herbs with fine fruit. The palate is smoky and deep, with sweet forest honey, herbs and subtle fruit. The finish is long and soft, with smoke, sweetness and a spicy freshness.
