Big Peat Christmas Edition 2018 (70cl, 53.9%)

Big Peat Christmas Edition 2018 is an Islay blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled in a small batch at a natural cask strength of 53.9%. It is a limited edition, not chill-filtered and with no added colouring. The malts in the blend are Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila and Port Ellen. The nose offers dense smoke and coastal air with hints of pineapple. On the palate come ash wood and earthy oak, with layers of spice and boiled sweets. The finish keeps light touches of soot and white pepper.
