This is the second release of the 2016 Octomore 10 Years limited edition, an Islay single malt with a phenol level of 167 PPM. It is bottled at 57.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and 18,000 bottles were produced.
The nose is smoky and fruity, with roasted oak, ginger, walnuts and orange peel, plus salt and some maritime notes. The palate has an oily texture, with salted caramel, marzipan, vanilla and crisp bread. The finish is extremely long, smoky and peaty, with tobacco.
