Big Peat Christmas Edition (2022) (70cl, 54.2%)

Big Peat Christmas Edition 2022 is a limited blended malt from Douglas Laing, made entirely from Islay single malts. It is bottled at 54.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle and belongs to the Remarkable Regional Malts range. The blend draws on Caol Ila, Bowmore, Ardbeg and Port Ellen, described respectively as adding sweetness, balance, a medicinal and earthy quality, and a touch of elegance. The nose has burnt caramel, sea air and peat smoke. On the palate come bonfire ashes and earthy notes, balanced by toasted marshmallow sweetness. The finish is long.
