Big Peat Christmas Edition 2023 is a limited blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, bottled at 54.8%. It is the first Big Peat Christmas edition to be finished in sherry casks.
The blend draws on malt from Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and Port Ellen.
The nose is intense, smoky and peaty, with a little burnt sugar and sea air. On the palate come dried fruit, cocoa and spicy oak, then candied peel, Hebridean sea air, peated barley and the Big Peat smoke. The finish is long and carries on from the palate.
