Big Peat Fèis Ìle 2019 is an Islay blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition of 3,300 bottles, with no added colouring and no chill filtration.
Tasting notes describe a wild, oceanic nose of fresh seaweed and rock pools. On the palate come sweet puffs of peat smoke, tarry ropes, bonfire embers and smoked bacon. The finish is long and oily, with chewed leather and a hint of lemon sponge.
