Big Peat Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky – Argentina Edition (70cl, 46%)

Big Peat is a blended malt made only from Islay single malts, and it was the first vatted malt of its kind from Douglas Laing. Caol Ila brings sweetness, Bowmore balance, Ardbeg a medicinal, earthy quality and Port Ellen a degree of elegance. This edition commemorates Argentina. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour, which is a pale straw. The nose is fresh, salty and clean, with peat, chocolate, coffee, cedar, spice, nuts and almonds, plus cinnamon and oily smoke. The palate has dense smoke, cut grass, peanut and spice. The finish is long, with coastal notes, peppery liquorice and smoke.
