Big Peat Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Big Peat is a small batch Islay blended malt from Douglas Laing, in a 70cl bottle at 46%. It contains only Islay malts, among them Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and the now closed Port Ellen. It is bottled without colouring or chill filtration. The nose is fresh, salty and clean, with sweet malts dried over peat. On the palate come ash, sweet tar, smoking chimneys and a subtle salty beach quality, followed by a long, lingering phenolic finish.
